Title 37. Public Lands
Title 37 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, found at A.R.S. Title 37, governs public lands. This title establishes the Arizona State Land Department and the Board of Appeals, which are responsible for managing the vast portfolio of State Trust Land. This land was granted to Arizona by the federal government at statehood to be held in trust to generate revenue for public institutions, primarily K-12 education.
