44. Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act) is the primary federal law which governs occupational health and safety in the private sector and federal government in the United States. It is codified at 29 U.S.C. Chapter 15. The Act created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which sets and enforces protective workplace safety and health standards.
