43. National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)

The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) of 1935, also known as the Wagner Act, is a foundational statute of U.S. labor law. Codified at 29 U.S.C. Chapter 7, the Act guarantees the right of most private sector employees to organize into trade unions, engage in collective bargaining for better terms and conditions at work, and take collective action (including strikes) if necessary. The Act is administered by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
