The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, commonly referred to as Dodd-Frank, was enacted in 2010 in response to the 2008 financial crisis. It is a massive piece of financial reform legislation that represents the most significant changes to financial regulation in the United States since the Great Depression.
